Christmas

As I mentioned before this was our first year not traveling for the holidays and although I missed my family fiercely it was so great to wake up in our own home and have the girls come racing down the hallway.
Gigi and Pop came over and the girls passed out all of the gifts.  They were great helper elves but couldn't wait to open all of their packages.
LOVING her new Dream Light.
I let the girls pick out a gift for their Daddy.  Gracie got him a cool new hat and Libby was actually very specific on what she wanted.  She liked the ties, and told me, "I like blue.  Gracie likes pink."  So we found the perfect tie.
After presents we had to have Grandma Sparks' cinnamon rolls (prepared by Gigi) and since we were at my house this year I added in some bacon and mimosas!
One of the best traditions from my parents - the scavenger hunt for our big present.  Drew is usually doing it with David and me but he was in Columbia with Caroline and her family.  Gigi was especially clever this year with nursery rhymes.
We had some fun with the new presents and the girls were about to go down for a nap when I looked out the window and it was snowing!!!
Pretty pic of our house lit up with lights and snow.
Gigi and Pop came back over after dropping off their presents and we prepared a feast for dinner.
The girls played in the snow a little bit more, but it was cold.
Merry Christmas from the Percivals!  We hope you had a great day with your family.

Great day, great day! From cinnamon rolls to snow! From presents from Santa to beef tenderloin! From scavenger hunts to conversation and gratefulness! Yes, it was a very good day!
